Dirt Diggers

Established in January 2025, the Dirt Diggers is a youth-led garden club for students from the Governor Morehead School (GMS) for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We partner with the non-profit SEED Community Foundation to provide hands-on gardening workshops and guest speaker lessons focused on environmental sustainability. The young gardeners are already planning to tackle a large-scale garden design for the 2025/26 school year, where they’ll install raised beds and outdoor collaborative areas.
